Hi Daniel, All the Guys and Gal(s), It seems a long time and a faraway place now but One Seven has never been far from my thoughts since leaving! I have never met so many truly inspired people in one place for a very long time. That week was about the only time in my life that has made any real sense over the past 2 years or so despite the many technical and professional achievements that I felt proud of during that time. My achievement pale into insignificance in the face of your own endurance and human achievements. I am proud to know you all and hope very dearly that we meet up again soon. It seems that any significant break I get in the near future, now that work seems to be relenting just a little. Will take my own and Glens footsteps in the direction of Chang Mai and the \"Tea House of the Ping River\" (See also the movie \"Tea House of the August Moon\". Old but very appropriate in your own case!).We both need some serious backpacking time which we hope to take us into China and Laos at the very least. With maybe some porno elephant artists on the way! Was it a male or female elephant as the bottom BTW! Love to you all and hope to see you soon. To Sam, Daniel and crew : An other Aussie friend and I had the privilege of being provided with a tour through the new Club One Seven CHIANG MAI 2 weeks ago, during the hectic and rapid construction process. We can both see how the Club One Seven magic will be woven into this wonderfull new hotel and sauna for Chiang Mai. The ambiance of a cooling green garden, with splendid views across the Ping River will be a delight and I am looking forward to a return visit to Chiang Mai and staying at the hotel and sauna. Hi Daniel, Mack & staff, A very big thank you to all the team at Club One Seven for making our recent Phuket holiday (30 Dec 2009 - 17 Jan 2010 ) so relaxing and enjoyable. Our new Grand Deluxe room at the pool side was fantastic with every possible luxury included. Club One Seven is definitely a home away from home as the staff took every opportunity to make us welcome and look after our every need. We even got to play with baby Moe whilst his mother was busy cooking for hotel guest. He is so cute that we wanted to pack him in our suit case to bring back home to Melbourne. The restaurant & pool side proved to be great places to socialise and meet new international friends . The hotel is ideally situated on the southern end of Patong Beach central to the growing Arts district and within easy walking distance to the beach, Jung Ceylon shopping complex and the Paradise entertainment precinct. Once again special thanks to Daniel for being such a great host and for his local knowledge and guidance. We will definitely be coming back to stay at Club One Seven real soon. Sincerely ...... Thank you all for making my eight nights at Club One Seven such a pleasure. Your bold claim that COS is a ‘home away from home’ is pretty much fulfilled by your splendid, friendly service. You will certainly be first on my list when I am looking for accommodation in Patong.
As I mentioned to Daniel, I’ve posted my Phuket diary on my website, but in case you don’t get to that, this is what I wrote about you:
I had identified a small, gay hotel on the internet, where I had not stayed before. Some distance from the centre of Patong’s entertainment, it looked promising on the website and the rapid and friendly responses I received to my enquiries suggested that this was a good place to go. And so it was!
Known as Club One Seven, it’s run by a Singaporean, managed by a Malaysian, and staffed largely by a charming and attentive group of boys, mostly from Burma, with a small number of Thais. The welcome was warm, friendly and relaxed, and then, in the room, the lovely surprise of towels presented as a pair of swans on a cannily folded silk runner; fine solid wood furniture and attractive full-length curtains. Clean, comfortable and attractive – and free wi-fi throughout the hotel.
And, in every detail, they have fulfilled their promise and ambition of making it like a home from home: utterly charming and attentive service without fail; easy, relaxed flexibility in attitude and routine; constant, fine coffee for breakfast and all day, and a pleasant Thai and European menu. There’s a quiet room/library; a garden with small pool; a gymnasium and attractive inside and outside eating areas. Nothing seems too much trouble and the smiles don’t fade. A very lucky choice.

Hi Daniel, I am Jason from Singapore, we already back to Singapore last night and everything is smooth. We (myself, Isham and Wan) would like to say a big thank you for ensuring and helping us during our stay at Club One Seven. We really enjoy staying at Club one seven because we can felt the warmness and friendliness that you gave to us. We really felt that we are home that Club One Seven is striving for. I believe Club One Seven will grow even to a greater height under your leadership. We will definitely and always stay in Club One Seven on all our visit to Phuket. I am sorry that we don\'t have a great time together (makan and drink) after your work and I do understand you are busy with your project. Hope we can do that if we meet up again k. Please do take care of yourself and always happy and enjoy your work in Club One Seven. Hope to meet up again the soonest. To My New Friend at Club One Seven, What can say my first trip to Phuket and not my last due to the wonderful team at Club One Seven. Mack , Daniel and there staff should be very proud of what they have created from the time I made my booking nothing was a problem they responsed to my request very quickly. The rooms are great size and I love the special touches they do , it was a great surprise to return to your room everyday with a new treat. They made you feel like part of an extened family and as a single traveller that is vey special. This small boutique hotel has everything you could wish for and so much more and with the changes they are making it will be even better. The breakfast daily are great and what a way to start your day with that wonderful Thai Smile from the staff. They can arranged your day tours for you, Daniel recommend some great ideas that I never thought of and I thank you for that. The major gay scence is just a short 10 min to 15 min walk and the beach is just a short stroll if the beach is not your scene you can relax by the pool. There is some great Art galleries around the area which is wonderful, and there is a 7 evelen and Money exchange just next door.I am already planning to come back to my new friends keep up the great work. Have just been browsing the guest book and was wondering if the Theo and Leo who commented on their stay with you were the same guys that own the Golden Bear Hotel in Amsterdam where Quan and I had so much fun last year at the festival and conquering the stairs in the hotel before our ceremony in London. We have booked for pride next year in Phuket and are looking forward to staying at our home away from home again. Cheers all.
